High Salary W

Jamie Benn-Dallas Stars ($8,500): Benn is a big part of what makes Dallas the best team in the league. Playing beside Tyler Seguin, Benn has been a dominant force throughout the entire season thus far. He’s second in points with 47 and is tied for the NHL lead in goals with 22. He’s averaging a gaudy 5.2 fantasy points per game and enters tonight’s rematch with St. Louis on a four-game point streak. He notched an assist against the Blues Saturday night, so it’s not unreasonable to expect at least another point tonight.

Patrick Kane-Chicago Blackhawks ($8,700): Kane has been absolutely on fire this season and is the best available winger for fantasy hockey each night he plays. He leads the NHL in points with 50 and his 21 is second behind Jamie Benn and Vladimir Tarasenko. Kane was shut out on Tuesday, ending a three-game point streak but he’ll look to start a new one tonight in an extremely favorable matchup with Carolina. Kane will cost you more than anyone tonight, but he’s proven to be worth it all season.

Johnny Gaudreau-Calgary Flames ($6,800): Gaudreau has been a surprising source of fantasy points this year and isn’t too far behind the big boys in terms of production. He’s got 15 goals and 22 assists this year but his salary is still below the $7,000 mark. Guadreau has become a must start every night he plays, especially on a night like tonight where the matchup with Edmonton is so good. Use Gaudreau but expect a high amount of other people to deploy him as well.

High Value W

Andrew Ladd-Winnipeg Jets ($5,200): Winnipeg’s captain won’t put up the numbers of some of the better wingers available, but he’s still useful in fantasy lineups. He plays on the top line for the Jets and has talent around him in Blake wheeler and Bryan Little. Ladd has nine goals and 12 assists this year and has three points in his last three games. He’ll face Pittsburgh tonight, a team ranked 24th in fantasy points given up to left wingers.

Jarome Iginla-Colorado Avalanche ($4,600): The veteran winger shouldn’t be completely forgotten when it comes to fantasy hockey. He is by no means the same force that he was years ago, but can still be a valuable part of daily lineups. He currently has a two-game point streak with a goal and an assist and goes up against an Arizona team that has been generous to right wingers this year. Iginla, especially with a salary under $5,000, makes a good speculative play tonight.
