Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith extended his team’s lead with a pick-six off New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning.

With a chance still to win their division next week, or at worst a top Wild Card spot with the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers losing, the Minnesota Vikings are rolling against the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football.

After the Vikings took a lead on a Kyle Rudolph touchdown, safety Harrison Smith got the crowd fired up when he made a big interception and returned it to the house for a pick-six, as the Vikings extended their lead.

Smith hand been banged up recently and missed some time, but when he’s out on the field, the Vikings are a much different team and a much better team.

His celebrations could use some work however.

The good news is that he continues to get better each week and has developed all around into one of the best safeties in the NFL. When it comes to taking that next step as a team, players have to make big plays and that’s exactly what Smith did by scoring on a pick-six against the Giants.

The Vikings are rolling at home in front of a national audience, and are dominating all three phases of the game.
