Ted Ginn Jr injury update: Panthers WR leaves Week 16
By Josh Hill
Tedd Ginn Jr has been a saving grace for the Carolina Panthers, and the last thing they need is for him to get injured.
The Carolina Panthers have managed to become the best team in football despite having an incomplete roster. The Panthers don’t have star receiver Kelvin Benjamin, but they’re one of the best and most exciting offenses in the NFL anyways. A lot of that is due to Ted Ginn Jr., who is a guy the Panthers do not want to see get injured.
Early on in the Panthers game against the Falcons, Ted Ginn Jr left the field with what looked to be a knee injury — which is the last thing Carolina needs to deal with.
Later on, Ginn appeared to be alright, which is a good sign but doesn’t mean the Panthers are out of the woods just yet. Carolina is 14-0 without the help of star receiver Kelvin Benjamin, who tore his ACL in the offseason. That has opened the door for Ginn to be a stud for Cam Newton, but his injury only highlights how shallow the Panthers are at receiver.
It also highlights that this undefeated Panthers team is in a fragile state, as they’ve won all their games this season but can’t afford to break in any way before they make it to the Super Bowl.
