How can the Minnesota Vikings clinch a playoff berth in Week 16?

We only have two weeks left in theNFL regular season, and that means playoff tickets are being punched and slots are being filled with Super Bowl hopefuls. One of those teams are the Minnesota Vikings, who thought they were going to clinch last week but didn’t get the help they needed.

That can all change this week though, as it looks almost certain that the Vikings will punch their playoff ticket before the day is through. Of course, there’s the chance of a complete flame out, but the Vikings are going to have to try harder to miss the playoffs than they will to make the postseason at this point.

Here’s how the Vikings can clinch the final NFC playoff spot this Sunday:

Minnesota clinches a playoff spot with:

1) MIN win or tie OR

2) ATL loss or tie OR

3) SEA win or tie

The Falcons play the undefeated Panthers in one of the early games, which means the Vikings can technically have already clinched before they even take the field on Sunday night. Of course, there’s a chance that the Panthers lose — which they almost did last week to the Giants.

But the chances of that actually happening are pretty low, and it’s far more likely that the Vikings will have already punched a ticket to the playoffs before they kickoff in Minneapolis tonight.
