Ezekiel Elliot. 15. player. 46.
The Indianapolis Colts unexpectedly became a revolving door at the quarterback position when injuries and fatigue hit the team early. Andrew Luck struggled with injuries early and tried to play through them. That only hurt his team and he was forced to sit out with a lacerated kidney. A 40 year-old Matt Hasselbeck stepped up and played well, but would succumb to injuries and fatigue. Charlie Whitehurst ended up getting playing time and the team had to sign Stephen Morris off of the Philadelphia practice squad. In addition, the front office added far too many aging players in free agency.

This draft is vital for Indianapolis as they try to pick up the pieces from a season that went the opposite of what they expected. Developing a running game is crucial and was greatly missed when the passing game took an injury hit. Frank Gore is at the tail end of his career and clearly isn’t the same player he was in San Francisco.

The Colts bring in Ohio State’s Ezekiel Elliot to dominate Lucas Oil Stadium for many years to come. He’s an elite running back who will help balance out an offense that was 30th in rushing yards this year.

Previous Pick: Ezekiel Elliot, RB
. Running Back. Ohio State
