44.
The Dan Quinn era in Atlanta opened with as good of a start as Falcons fans could have possibly imagined. They started out winning their first five games and by the end of October they were sitting pretty at 6-1. Then, a six game losing streak knocked them off their high horse and put Quinn’s job in question. After being shutout by Carolina, they’ve won two straight games and are now in the Wild Card hunt.

Coming out of Seattle, Dan Quinn’s specialty was defense. Right now, the Falcons’ defense is towards the bottom of the NFL. First-round pick Vic Beasley (whom I was a big fan of last year) is slowly getting acclimated to the league and the rest of the team around him is struggling. They need someone who can stop the run, as well as rush the quarterback from the other side of the line.

Quinn turns to Florida defensive end Jonathan Bullard to start on the other end of the line with Vic Beasley. Bullard helped lead the Florida Gators with 17.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. For a team that was mediocre when it came to disrupting the quarterback, drafting Bullard is a smart move.

Previous Pick: Reggie Ragland, MLB
. Defensive End. Florida.
