UCLA. Myles Jack. 22. player. 30.
The New York Jets are currently fighting to maintain a playoff spot, which very few fans would have expected heading into the season with a new quarterback and head coach. Ryan Fitzpatrick has had an excellent season after Geno Smith went down in the preseason with a broken jaw and Todd Bowles has controlled the team fairly well following that incident. Think about it, if Geno Smith hadn’t gotten knocked out, the Jets may be outside of the playoff picture.

Right now for the Jets, the emphasis is on the front seven. A group that has shown to be strong at times, but needs depth and help at outside linebacker.

With selecting Myles Jack, the Jets get a player who was an easy top 10 draft pick before tearing his ACL earlier this season at UCLA. Jack brings a unique combination of speed and athleticism that very few college linebackers possess. He can be effective as a pass rusher, something the Jets can improve on. With his speed he can also cover tight ends and running backs coming out of the backfield.

Previous Pick: Leonard Floyd, OLB
. Outside Linebacker
