team. 35.
The Tennessee Titans didn’t really have a prayer of beating the Houston Texans in this game, despite the Texans being another horrible AFC South team. That being said, the Titans didn’t have Marcus Mariota and trotted Zach Mettenberger out under center.

Then they allowed him to throw the ball 51 times in an NFL game…. a SINGLE NFL game.

He completed 27 of those passes for 234 yards, throwing a single touchdown and interception. All-in-all, that isn’t horrible for the Titans but it isn’t exactly great either.

The Titans also lost to Brandon Weeden and allowed him to look like a decent quarterback, throwing for two touchdowns and running for another one. That’s right, the Titans defense allowed Weeden to run for a touchdown. Not a lean over the pile and hold the ball out touchdown, a honest to God running with his legs touchdown.

If that doesn’t show you the state of the Titans, then nothing will open your eyes to this atrocity.

The silver lining is another high draft pick. At 3-12, the Titans are tied for the worst record in the NFL, which means another top draft pick. The Titans could be playing, or not rather, for the No. 1 overall pick next week.
. (3-12).
