Sean Payton is one of the best offensive minds in the game, but it is time for him and the New Orleans Saints to part ways. Payton has a Super Bowl ring on his finger, the only one that the franchise has earned since the Saints came into existence in 1967.

Payton has been undone by a horrid defense and one of the worst general managers in the game, Mickey Loomis. Loomis continues to push the money down the road on many of the big contracts, and it is costing Payton the ability to bring in fresh talent. The Saints can’t figure out that at some point, they are going to have to pay the price for keeping all these bloated contracts on the books.

Payton, more than any of the other coaches on this list, is going to find work quickly. Payton is still young and has a Super Bowl to his credit. In addition, Payton has shown he can build one of the elite offenses and keep it humming for years. There will be a line at Payton’s door, with legions of franchises hoping to bring in his services.
