2. Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles are one of six teams currently sitting at 6-9 in the league. With a loss, there’s an outside chance they could sneak into the top-10. However, a win could put them drafting as low as 18 if all the current 7-8 teams lose and the tie-breakers don’t fall the Eagles way.

Being able to draft within the top-10 or just right outside it with the 11th or 12th overall pick would be a game-changer for the Eagles, as this draft is deep though the team’s primary positions of need are also in high demand.

Philadelphia has three big holes to fill: quarterback, offensive line, and a defensive pass rusher. With Chip Kelly gone, it’s unknown if Sam Bradford will want to stay in Philly, but if he does that wouldn’t be a bad thing. He wasn’t the main reason the Eagles didn’t win the division this year. It’s tough to be able to be successful at quarterback when the offensive line isn’t protecting him.

Bradford remaining in town would allow them to draft a quarterback on the second day (second or third rounds) or early on the third day in the fourth round. There’s enough talent at offensive tackle and defensive pass rush to fill either need in the first round and again in the second round.

No matter what they do, the Eagles need to lose on Sunday. It could mean the difference between drafting a top prospect at a position or a middle of the road athlete. Jeffrey Lurie has his work cut out for him during the 2016 NFL Draft no matter where the Eagles are selecting from.
