3. New York Giants

There are rumors that Tom Coughlin won’t be back as the coach for the Giants in 2016, and taking a coach away from Jerry Jones would be an added bonus in this case. Although, this isn’t simply a case of finding a guy that would make a division rival mad, but Garrett would be a welcome addition to a team that needs a younger, milder voice than the cantankerous Coughlin who has been coaching since the prohibition days.

Garrett would be stepping into a situation similar to what he had in Dallas. They have a veteran quarterback in Eli Manning, but they need some help in the run game. Also like his early days in Big D, there is no defense being played in New York.

Perhaps bringing defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli with him would be enough to change that, but Garrett has also done well in helping Jones and company find people out of nowhere to help, like when they found Rolando McClain who had retired twice before turning 25-years old.

Offensively Garrett would love to have a running back like Andre Williams (who is underutilized in New York) as well as an explosive beast of a receiver in Odell Beckham, Jr.

Garrett has familiarity with the organization as well, as he spent some time there as a backup quarterback after his tenure in Dallas. Perhaps he can make the move from Dallas to New York again on the coaching level.
