1. Philadelphia Eagles

Okay, this might really make Dallas fans mad, to lose someone else to Philadelphia for the second straight season, but this makes perfect sense when looked at objectively.

The Eagles tried to go against the grain with Chip Kelly and he flamed out miserably, with one of the biggest issues being his fight for power. With Garrett, getting away from Jerry Jones will make any new job seem like he is flush with control, so there will be no personnel decision fight here like there was with Kelly.

Garrett would also be the perfect sell to the local media as he is the anti-Chip in terms of friendliness to the media. Jason has always been a positive voice that shows no combativeness to the reporters asking him the same questions over and over. This would be night and day from Kelly, who would argue the color of the sky just to be a pain to the media.

On the field it makes sense too. Kelly’s system was all about pace and tempo and it wore his team out. Garrett is the opposite as he is about ball control and chewing the clock. The players would do backflips to have such a different approach to the game.

And of course, how can you not draw the connections between the running back the Eagles owe a fortune to in DeMarcco Murray and the coach that helped him lead the league in rushing in 2014. There are reports Murray wants back in Dallas, but that it won’t happen. For him this would be the next best thing as Garrett knows how to utilize Murray best, something Kelly never figured out.

The coach would also have a system that would be more friendly to quarterback Sam Bradford should he decide to stay. Bringing in a former quarterback like Garrett would probably help convince Bradford to give Philly one more shot as everyone tries to recover from the damage Chip Kelly inflicted.
