High Value SG

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (Detroit Pistons): KCP had been dealing with a leg injury, but he shook off whatever was ailing him on Thursday to total 22 points along with four boards, three steals, and three assists against the Timberwolves.  HE finished that contest with 37.3 fantasy points after four straight games with under 21 fantasy points.  He is a little risky due to his inconsistent production, but he always gets plenty of time on the floor and he had a good game the last time Detroit played Indiana. Back on December 12, KCP had 18 points, eight assists, seven rebounds, a block, and four steals on his way to 47.4 fantasy points. He’s high-risk, but also high-reward as he faces the Pacers again tonight.

J.J. Redick-Los Angeles Clippers (5,000): Despite very few non-scoring stats, Redick has been fairly consistent lately since he has been scoring points at a good rate since the Clippers lost Blake Griffin.  Redick has scored 25 points or more in three of his last four games, and he has at least 23 fantasy points in six of his last ten.  He doesn’t offer quite as much upside as KCP since he really only contributes in one category, but he is lower risk since LA is taking on the 76ers tonight and will again look to Redick to help fill the scoring void left by Blake’s injury.

Rodney Hood-Utah Jazz (4,900): Another player who needs to step up for his team due to injury is Rodney Hood who is helping to fill in for the injured Alec Burks.  Hood had a great game on Thursday with 18 points, seven boards, and six assists totaling 39.4 fantasy points in his 29 minutes.  He’ll need to be more consistent to be a “safe” play like Redick, but he definitely has the potential to stuff the stat sheet when given the playing time he should have coming his way over the next few weeks.

Jeremy Lamb-Charlotte Hornets (4,200): Lamb could be lined up for good minutes in a revenge game against the Thunder tonight if Jeremy Lin is sidelined again with his ankle injury.  Lamb has played expanded minutes the last two nights with Lin out finishing with 28 fantasy points on Wednesday and 15.7 fantasy points last night.  He will get the opportunity to play 20+ minutes again tonight if Lin is out, so give him a look if you have to go in the low 4,000’s for one of your SG tonight. With Lin-, without Lin-

Ian Clark-Golden State Warriors (3,700): Clark has been some solid run of play with Golden State lately due to injuries in the backcourt to Leondro Barbosa and of course Steph Curry.  He played 22 minutes or more in each of the Warriors last three games and has 22.8, 21, and 18.6 fantasy points in those three contests.  If Curry is again out tonight, Clark has enough value to be a cheap flier.  If Curry returns, take a pass on Clark since his playing time will become very uncertain. With Curry-, Without Curry-
