  • Tyler Seguin – Dallas Stars ($9,200): I usually advocate starting Seguin on a nightly basis because he’s so good. However, start him tonight at your own risk. I don’t like him going against Cory Schneider, who has been the best goalie in the league this season other than Braden Holtby. Seguin has 10 points in his last 10 games and 50 points in 39 games overall. He averages 5.5 fantasy hockey points per game.
  • Nicklas Backstrom – Washington Capitals ($7,200): Backstrom has been on a roll with nine points in his last 10 games. He has 33 points and 11 goals in 34 games this season. He and Ovechkin should have a strong night tonight against the Blue Jackets who have allowed the most goals in the NHL. He averages 3.6 fantasy points per game.
  • Nathan MacKinnon – Colorado Avalanche ($7,700): The Avalanche play the Flames tonight. I love this matchup because it should be a high-scoring game. Both teams are very fast and feature skilled forwards. Both defenses and goalies have proven that they are not reliable. MacKinnon should flourish in that kind of game. He has nine points in his last ten games. He has 33 points in 38 games this season. He averages 3.6 fantasy points per game.

  • Aleksander Barkov – Florida Panthers ($6,400): Barkov has been incredible for the Panthers this season. It’s hard to remember that he’s just 20 years old because his hockey IQ is off the charts. He knows what he has to do and where he has to go to get points. He has 23 points in 27 games this season, including 10 points in his last seven games. He has two consecutive multi-goal outings. That should continue tonight as the Panthers take on the Rangers. He averages 3.8 fantasy hockey points per game.
  • Joe Thornton – San Jose Sharks ($5,300): Thornton is coming off an impressive performance against the Philadelphia Flyers. He has 11 points in his last ten games and is currently riding a seven-game point streak. He goes tonight against the Jets. He averages 2.8 fantasy points per game.
