High Salary D

Erik Karlsson-Ottawa Senators ($7,500): Karlsson has just gone about his business this season with nine goals and 32 assists through 38 games. He is always one of the best options available at defenseman and also carries a healthy average of 4.7 fantasy points a game. He was held pointless on Wednesday but had a seven-game point streak prior to that. He will get a great chance to start a new streak tonight versus Chicago.

Dustin Byfuglien-Winnipeg Jets ($6,200): Byfuglien hasn’t performed up to his usual standards this season and has seen his salary for daily fantasy hockey drop, That’s good news for owners who are still willing to take a chance on him. He only has 23 points this year but is still useful for fantasy owners thanks to his ability to both block shots and fire pucks on the net. He recorded a helper on Saturday night, his second in as many games. Byfuglien has an average of 3.7 fantasy points  a game and makes for a good pick tonight.

High Value D

Nick Leddy-New York Islanders ($3,900): Leddy wouldn’t normally be on fantasy radars but he has been on an absolute tear over the past week. He picked up a last-minute goal on Saturday and now has points four straight games. Leddy will have a higher ownership percentage than normal thanks to his recent production but he will still be well worth a value selection for your lineup.

Aaron Ekblad-Florida Panthers ($5,000): The young blueliner has been performing very well this season for a surprisingly good Florida team. Ekblad has nine goals and nine assists in 18 games and is averaging 2.8 fantasy points a game. He has three points in his last five games makes for a solid value pick at defenseman.
