After the Broncos got off to a slow start on Sunday, Peyton Manning made his return to the field.

Even though Peyton Manning was listed as active for Week 17 against the Denver Broncos, there were still many that weren’t holding out much hope that he would play. Really, it looked as if he would just play the role of backup to Brock Osweiler, unless things got really out of hand.

So, yeah, things did end up getting “really out of hand.”

When the Broncos turned the ball over five times in the game by the third quarter and the Chargers took the lead, it was decided that it was Manning time in Denver once again.

So, this is another example that you can never say never. But, in this case with the way the Broncos were playing on offense, it was indeed time to make the change and this may have been the right call. ‘

With playoff implications on the line for the Broncos, you have to exhaust every option that you have to get the positioning in the field that you want if you’re Gary Kubiak. Although Manning has not played his best this season when he was on the field, you have to give him a shot and see if he can rejuvenate this team.

Now, we just all wait and see.
