High Value SG

Rodney Hood-Utah Jazz (5,300): Hood was one of my best FanDuel daily picks on Saturday when he exploded for one of the best performance by any SG in action that night.  He finished with 32 points in his 44 minutes while adding eight rebounds on his way to 43.6 fantasy points. It wasn’t just a one-and-done performance either since he had 39.4 fantasy points the previous game against the Blazers.  Hood should be set up for even more success tonight against the Rockets who allow the sixth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG.  Hood is picking up the slack for Alec Burks, and he looks ready to rise to the occasion for a Utah team that needs some offensive firepower right now.

Manu Ginobili-San Antonio Spurs (4,500): Ginbobili will likely play an increased role in the Spurs attack with Tony Parker out tonight.  He has been turning in solid numbers when he gets playing time lately with at least 19 fantasy points in three of his last four games even though he has been playing limited time.  It’s hard to predict exactly what Coach Greg Popovich will do against Milwaukee without Parker, but he could decide to give Manu some extra playing time which would make him a very solid 4,500 option.

Gerald Green-Miami Heat (3,800): With Miami on the second night of a back-t0-back, Green should keep seeing plenty of playing time as the Heat’s first mane off the bench.  Yesterday, he had 15 points, four boards, and two assists to finish with 23.8 fantasy points against the Wizards.  He has back-t0-back games with over 23 fantasy points and has at least 19 in five of his last nine games.  He’s low-risk since he’s almost sure to get playing time tonight against the Pacers, and he has the potential to go off making him my favorite sub-4K SG option of the day. ∗∗ (high stars due to low price and good chance to return value on investment.)
