FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-January 4
High Salary SF
Paul George-Indiana Pacers (8,800): George was red hot earlier this season and his value spiked into six figures. He came back to earth in December, but he’s showing signs of heating up again. He has over 45 fantasy points in each of his last two games with 31 and 32 points against the Bucks and Pistons. George shredded the Heat when he faced them twice earlier this season averaging 29.5 points, ten rebounds, three assists, and two steals. There’s definitely risk that George can’t find his shot like he has been dropping it lately, but he’s significantly cheaper than Durant and James and in a matchup he should be able to attack tonight. ∗∗∗∗
Gordon Hayward-Utah Jazz (7,500): Hayward played 42 minutes in Utah’s overtime win over Memphis, but he only finished with 14 points since Rodney Hood was on fire. He did add five rebounds and four assists to finish with 26 fantasy points, but I think he’ll fare even better tonight in a good matchup against the Rockets. The Rockets have allowed the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SF which should set up Hayward for a big game tonight in what I think will be a high-scoring, up-tempo meeting in Utah.∗∗∗
Andrew Wiggins-Minnesota Timberwolves (6,700): Wiggins is a solid play tonight against the 76ers who have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing SF. Wiggins has scored at least 15 points in each his last five games and has diversified his production a little with six rebounds in three of his last four games as well as multiple steals in three of those four games. As a result, he has at least 25 fantasy points in each of those five games and over 30 fantasy points in each of his last three.∗∗∗
