A'Shawn Robinson. 11. player. 57.
The Chicago Bears seem like a team at this point that has so many needs that being a contender again is so far out of reach. With the future of Jay Cutler being in question, you’d suspect that the Bears might look to a quarterback of the future with the No. 11 pick overall.

Well, that shouldn’t quite be the case, really.

For starters, the quarterback class is not all that much to brag to home about this year. Then, of course, there will be a certain beast of a defensive tackle out of Alabama named A’Shawn Robinson sitting here waiting, and he’s just too good to pass up.

In the three years he’s been on the field at Alabama, Robinson has just been a nightmare in the middle. He’s totaled 130 tackles including 22 of them going for a loss with nine sacks. On an Alabama unit that features a ton of top-tier talent, Robinson might in fact be the best of them all.

When you play teams twice a year like the Packers and Vikings who both have good downhill runners, it doesn’t hurt whatsoever to have someone the likes of Robinson in the middle to plug up some of them holes and stop the onslaught. He could be an instant contributor to this Bears team from Day 1, and they can start building the rest of the defense from there.
. DT. Alabama
