44. <p>There might not have been a more confusing team in the NFL this season than the Atlanta Falcons. This was a team that started the season at 5-0 and had some calling them a legitimate Super Bowl contender. Then, the wheels started to come off and following their loss to the Saints on Sunday, they finished the campaign at 8-8.</p> <p>Yeah, confusing, see?</p> <p>On offense this team showed flashes of brilliance. Matt Ryan was a little more consistent this season, Julio Jones showed us all why some consider him the best wide receiver in the game and young Devonta Freeman proved he’s one of the best up-and-coming running backs in all of the NFL. But, they just couldn’t put together enough consistent performances to keep a good season rolling.</p> <p>There are some pieces to fill on the defensive side of the ball as well, so needless to say seeing what the Falcons do this off-season will be nothing short of intriguing and interesting. At times we saw this team could be competitive and consistent, while other times they legitimately looked like one of the worst teams in the league.</p> <p>But, with the regular season now over, they can get to work on changing that perception, or Dan Quinn might be on a warm seat in only his second year next season.</p>.
