team. 28.
They put up a good fight on Sunday in Week 17 against the Kansas City Chiefs, but in the end the Oakland Raiders fell short. That loss puts an end to their regular season with a 7-9 record — which actually might be a good sign.

Yes, this Raiders team missed out on the playoffs and will be heading into the off-season, but by all accounts, this was a pretty telling year for this organization in regards to their future. Derek Carr seems to be progressing rather well, and Amari Cooper was just simply outstanding during his rookie season at the wide receiver position. Defensively, this team was pretty solid as well, which further points to a potentially bright future for this team.

So now, it’s time to get to work on the off-season to see if management can in fact make this team a legitimate contender for the playoffs next season. Again, we saw this season that the pieces are starting to come together, so a run at a playoff spot is not entirely impossible by any means.

It all depends on how well the team can get things done in the off-season and whether or not the young players on this team continue to get better at the rate they are, but there were a lot of positive signs this season.
. (7-9). Previous: . Oakland Raiders. 14
