New England Patriots. A-. player. 47. . 12-4. 1st AFC East

When you consider the fact that the New England Patriots started the 2015 NFL season 10-0 and then went 2-4 over their last six games, you might think that a grade of A- is far too kind to their performance. However, the fact that they were able to pick up two wins over their last six games while dealing with the litany of major injuries to key components of their roster is just unreal.

The Patriots were one of the many teams around the league that were absolutely wrecked by injuries. Dion Lewis, who had emerged as one of their biggest offensive weapons, suffered a season-ending knee injury. In addition to that, their offensive line was ravaged, Julian Edelman broke his foot, Jamie Collins missed substantial time as the heart of their defense, and this team still finished 12-4 and at the top of the AFC East.

The Patriots seemed like they were on their way to another 14-2 or better season after their first 10 games of the season, but things didn’t play out that way. Considering what they had to deal with over the course of the year, though, they undoubtedly deserve a great deal of commendation for staying atop their division and finishing with 12 wins.
