. 7-9. 2nd NFC East. Philadelphia Eagles. F. player. 54

The Philadelphia Eagles started out the 2015 NFL season as one of the most polarizing teams in the league and that would arguably be their biggest achievement on the year. Despite playing in a wide-open NFC East where the favorites in the Cowboys were ravaged by injuries and under performance, the Eagles couldn’t muster up any kind of consistency or anything to set them apart and that left them with a 7-9 record and on the outside of the playoffs.

With all of the moves that Chip Kelly made coming into this season, no one knew what to expect this team to look like from the first snap of the regular season. Because of Kelly’s pedigree and profile, anything other than success would have been a failure, but there was also a wide range of outcomes considering the changes that the roster underwent under Kelly’s direction.

However, as it became clear that Kelly’s experimentation with the roster only served as a detriment to the product on the field, epitomized by the failed Sam Bradford era at quarterback, the Eagles struggled to even stay relevant in a weak division. The fact that Kelly is now gone tells you all you need to know about what was expected of the coach and this team in 2015 and what they actually produced.
