53. . 3-13. 4th AFC North. Cleveland Browns. F. player

It essentially feels like beating a dead horse to say that the Cleveland Browns earned a failing grade for the 2015 regular season because, well, that’s really been the story of this franchise for quite some time now. However, this season was a disaster right from the start in terms of the product on the field all the way up to how the entire team was constructed and managed by the front office and the coaching staff.

For one, the indecisiveness and injuries that resulted in a revolving door of starting quarterbacks didn’t do the Browns any favors on that side of the ball, nor did the Johnny Manziel saga or the fact that their best receiving weapon outside of Gary Barnidge was Travis Benjamin. Moreover, the one strength this Cleveland team was supposed to have was on the defensive side of the ball, but because of injuries and lackluster play, they finished 29th in the league in terms of points allowed per game.

It’s fitting that both head coach Mike Pettine and general manager Ray Farmer were both fired before the entire Week 17 slate of games had concluded. With how this Browns team performed and how they were so poorly planned and constructed, something had to be done and maybe better days are ahead. For this season, though, it was utter failure from start to finish.
