High Salary PG

Rajon Rondo-Sacramento Kings (8,400): As much fun as Stephen Curry is to watch and as crazy as the numbers he produces are, I just can’t see spending over 10K on him tonight against the Lakers who will likely trail by 30 by around half time.  Curry looked good in his return last night, but I see a blowout as a real possibility for this evening which could lead to Steph being a little over-priced. Instead, I’m going with Rajon Rondo as he returns to Dallas to take on the team that traded for him last season where he was never happy and often clashed with coach Rick Carlisle.

Rondo had a nice game last night in Oklahoma City as the Kings knocked off the Durant-less Thunder.  He finished with 13 points, 19 assists, and nine rebounds while also adding five steals on his way to a huge 63.3 fantasy points. He has at least 47 fantasy points in each of his last two games, and he should be good to go tonight despite his 43 minutes last night since he’ll be fired up and ready to go against his former team.  Rondo had 21 points, five assists, and there rebounds in 30 minutes in the teams’ first meeting this season, but I think he’ll fare even better tonight since he’s obviously comfortable running George Karl’s offense.  ∗∗∗ (See final slide for explanation of the stars after each selection) UPDATE: RONDO SHOULD BE OUT OF YOUR LINEUP SINCE HE IS NOW DOUBTFUL WITH BACK SPASMS.

Michael Carter-Williams-Milwaukee Bucks (6,700): MCW has at least 30 fantasy points in each of his last four games and has contributed solid numbers in multiple categories since rejoining the starting lineup. Carter-Williams has at least six assists in each of his last four games and at least 11 points in three of those contests.  He’ll likely be matchup up against the backup guards for Chicago in tonight’s matchup since Derrick Rose is questionable for tonight’s game.  A MRI came back clean on Rose’s hamstring, but the fact that he was getting one just yesterday makes it seam unlikely he’ll be ready to go tonight.  Another factor that boost MCW’s value is the fact that Jarryd Bayless re-injured his ankle last night against the Spurs and didn’t return to the game. As Carter-Williams and Milwaukee finish their back-to-back in Chicago tonight, I like “The Hyphen” as the best PG play in the 6K range. ∗∗∗
