High Salary W

Patrick Kane – Chicago Blackhawks ($8,800): Kane has finally overtaken Alexander Ovechkin as the most expensive winger available. He also has the highest fantasy points average with 5.4 points a game. Kane leads the league with 57 points and has seven points over his last three games. Kane is a fantasy beast and needs to find a way into your lineup. Pittsburgh has been tough on right wingers this year but don’t let that stop you from choosing him.

Max Pacioretty – Montreal Canadiens ($7,300): Choosing Pacioretty will give you a big discount over some of tonight’s big-name wingers. Just because he will cost a lot less doesn’t mean he won’t put up some big production. He’s is averaging 4.2 fantasy points a game and has scored at least five fantasy points in back-to-back games. Pacioretty lit the lamp on Friday in the Winter Classic, giving him a two-game goal streak and three-game point streak. An extremely good matchup with Philly tonight makes Pacioretty someone you will want to target at winger.

High Value W

Cam Atkinson – Columbus Blue Jackets ($4,400): Atkinson has been a very productive player this season for a struggling Columbus team. He needs to be in your lineup tonight given the matchup and his recent numbers. Atkinson will go up against Minnesota and is riding a three-game point streak. Take Atkinson and his great price to allow yourself to spend bigger elsewhere.

Matt Beleskey – Boston Bruins ($4,300): Beleskey has been on a tear recently for the Bruins with points in four straight games. The last time he played was on January 1 in the Winter Classic. In that game he scored a goal, fired four shots and earned his fantasy owners five fantasy points. With an average of 2.8 fantasy points a game Beleskey is an excellent value pick.

Wayne Simmonds – Philadelphia Flyers ($5,300): Simmonds has picked up his pace since the start of the season and used a very productive December to become relevant again in fantasy hockey. He is now averaging 2.7 fantasy points a game and recently had a monster game in which he scored two goals and earned eight fantasy points.  Simmonds is riding a two-game point streak and will look to keep things rolling tonight against Montreal.
