High Salary G

Roberton Luongo – Florida Panthers ($8,200): Luongo was given the night off Sunday after winning his start on Saturday. He now has 17 wins on the season and has been victorious in each of his last seven starts. With the wins and a GAA of 2.10, Luongo is actually have one of the best seasons of his illustrious career. Florida is playing the best hockey of anyone right now and Luongo a big reason why. Buffalo is one of the lowest-scoring teams in the league, making Luongo a must-start tonight.

High Value G

Ben Scrivens – Montreal Canadiens ($6,300): Scrivens is purely a speculative pick tonight based on matchup but he’s worth taking a risk if you’ve used up too much cap space elsewhere. He has been in the AHL for much of the year but recently was traded from Edmonton to Montreal and is expected to be in net tonight. He started for the Canadiens on December 29 and took the loss but gets a great matchup with Philadelphia tonight, a team that struggles to score goals. Montreal looked strong its last time out in the Winter Classic and could finally be righting the ship.

Connor Hellebuyck – Winnipeg Jets ($6,900): Hellebuyck has been a bright spot for the Jets this season when he’s been in net. He’s been the starter since normal starter Ondrej Pavelec was placed on IR.  Hellebuyck has a record of 8-4-0 with a 2.00 GAA and .929 save percentage. He was impressive on Saturday night when he stopped 27 of 28 shots in a win over San Jose. A matchup with Nashville tonight is favorable, making Hellebuyck someone you should target as your goalie.
