High Value SG

Louis Williams-Los Angeles Lakers (5,700): Williams has been a solid contributor for the Lakers since taking over the starting job and has recovered from a shooting slump he was stuck in around Christmas Day.  He has at least 27 fantasy points in four straight games and had an impressive 46.4 fantasy points on Sunday against the Suns scoring 30 points to go with seven board, four assists, and two steals.  He’ll face much tougher competition tonight against the Warriors, but he should be able to get around 30 fantasy points once again making him the best play of the day under 6K at SG. ∗∗∗

Kent Bazemore-Atlanta Hawks (5,700): Bazemore had 18 points against the Knicks on Sunday in just 27 minutes as the Hawks fell behind and weren’t able to climb back into the game.  They’ll look to take their home half of the home-and-home set tonight, and Bazemore is a solid option given his strong run of play lately.  He has at least 29 fantasy points in each of his last three games and at least 25 fantasy points in six of his last ten.  While he isn’t the team’s first offensive option, his contributions across the board are enough to earn him a look under 6K tonight.  I give the edge to Williams based on his nigher scoring potential, but both 5,700 SG are solid considerations.

Wesley Matthews-Dallas Mavericks (5,100): Matthews will be in a good matchup against the Kings tonight who allow the seventh-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG so far this season but have allowed more over their last five games to opposing SG than any other team in the NBA.  Matthews has been heating up too with double-digit scoring in seven straight contests including four games with at least 15 points during that timespan.  Oddly, his non-scoring numbers haven’t been strong lately, but he’s been scoring enough to be worth a look at 5K tonight.

Marco Belinelli-Sacramento Kings (3,800): Belinelli scored 21 points last night giving him three straight games with at least 19 points and 23 fantasy points. He had been stuck in a shooting slump before his breakout, but he’s streaky enough to give him a shot tonight against the Mavs especially if Omri Casspi is sidelined again tonight.
