High Salary SF

Carmelo Anthony-New York Knicks (8,600): Melo scored only 11 points against Atlanta in the Knicks win on Sunday adding nine rebounds, five assist,s and three steals on his way to 34.3 fantasy points. He has at least 31 fantasy points in seven straight games although he has only managed over 40 fantasy points once during that timespan.  He’s still one of the best scoring options on the board for tonight, and is a low-risk play in a shallow SF pool.  He will likely need to play a larger role in the New York offense tonight than he did on Sunday since Arron Afflalo was on fire and carried them which I see as an outlier of a performance from him and not a trend going forward.

Rudy Gay-Sacramento Kings (7,000): Gay and the Kings will look to build on their big win in Oklahoma City tonight against the Mavs.  Gay has been playing well lately, although he is a little over-priced at 7K in my opinion.  He has at least 16 points in eight of his last ten games and provides solid rebounding at times as well.  In his last nine games, Gay has been between 23-31 fantasy points seven times, which makes him a low-risk, low-upside play tonight against Dallas.

Khris Middleton-Milwaukee Bucks (6,800): Middleton definitely doesn’t lack upside tonight, but the problem is that he’s in a brutal matchup with Jimmy Butler who can totally take opposing wings out of their game.  If Butler guards Middleton, Middleton could be in for a long night although he did manage a very respectable 25.6 fantasy points last night against Kawhi Leonard.  Middleton has scored in double digits in ten straight and is a multi-category producer when he’s on his game.  He has managed at least 40 fantasy points in four of his last eight games (hence the upside), but his matchup makes him high risk. He’s the opposite of Gay in that he is high-risk, high-reward, but I love the upside he brings when he’s on his game.
