High Value PF

Taj Gibson-Chiacgo Bulls (5,000): Gibson isn’t a prolific scorer, but he has been picking up minutes in Joakim Noah’s absence and has been able to get boards and defensive stats to be a solid mid-range fantasy option at PF.  He has at least 22 fantasy points in seven straight games and is a low-risk play again tonight in a good matchup against the Bucks.

Larry Nance Jr.-Los Angeles Lakers (4,300): While Julius Randle has gotten more hype, Larry Nance has been putting together solid numbers for the Lakers lately and is coming off a big double-double of 15 points and 14 rebounds on Sunday against the Suns. Nance has at least 20 fantasy points in four of his last five games and is starting to be more of a factor on the offensive end. He’s risky against the Warriors in what could be a blowout but if you decide to save money at PF, Nance is one name to look at.  ∗∗

Bobby Portis-Chicago Bulls (3,900): Portis is inconsistent but has undeniable upside for the Bulls.  He has two double-doubles in his last eight games both coming against the Knicks, but he has been able to get to 20 fantasy points in four of those eight games and should be set up for success against the Bucks tonight.  He has more offensive firepower than Gibson, but Gibson has a clearer path to minutes. Portis is high-risk, high-reward tonight against Milwaukee.
