Quarterback. Michigan State. Connor Cook. 13. player. 30.
After a decent first season in Philadelphia, I would not be surprised to see Sam Bradford return to the City of Brotherly Love. With the quarterback position handled, the Eagles can continue to stockpile draft picks and plug the many holes left by General Manager/Head Coach Chip Kelly. They need to fix the offensive line, add secondary depth, and find an outside receiver. This trade allows them to do just that.

As for the Jets, this move is pending a decision on Ryan Fitzpatrick’s contract. With guys like Muhammad Wilkerson, Chris Ivory, and Damon Harrison heading towards free agency, the Jets need to be smart with their money and keep the right guys. Unfortunately, a 33-year old quarterback is not worth using up your cap space on. The Jets have to draft a quarterback and they get a decent one in Connor Cook.

While I am not the biggest Cook fan, there are traits that make him reliable enough to draft. He is a very confident player with decent arm strength and the best experience in this years class. He will have to work on his footwork, pocket presence, and slowing down the game, but he’s talented enough for the pick.
