Alabama. A'Shawn Robinson. 15. player. 26.
After trading down from the sixth overall pick with the St. Louis Rams, the Baltimore Ravens finally get their guy. Alabama defensive lineman A’Shawn Robinson is an extremely versatile player who can provide support as either a run stopper inside or pass rusher on the edge. He played a large role in stopping LSU’s Leonard Fournette late in the college football season and ending the running back’s hopes of winning the Heisman.

A consensus All-American in 2015, Robinson finished with 43 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and three and a half sacks to close out his junior year. Playing along side Jarran Reed and many other future NFL stars, Robinson stood out with his great strength and quickness off of the line of scrimmage throughout the season. He is also known for being one of the more intelligent players on the Alabama team. It sounds like a solid Wonderlic score is certainly in Robinson’s future.

The 20-year old Robinson also helped Alabama shutout Michigan State in the College Football Playoffs with his excellent interior work disrupting quarterback Connor Cook. Having him on a struggling Baltimore Ravens team looking for some healthy, youthful players is a great move by Ozzie Newsome, especially after trading down.
