50.
After an atrocious 1-7 start to the 2015 NFL season, the Detroit Lions rebounded off of new Offensive Coordinator Jim Bob Cooter and Matthew Stafford. After being benched during a blowout, Stafford ended up having a decent year (statistically wise) and helped the Lions finish out with a respectable three game win streak to end the season. While the fate of their coaching staff is still in the wind, the choice of where to draft will be made clear early in Detroit.

While there are questions on both sides of the ball in Detroit, the focus has to be on defense in this years draft. The Lions defense finished the season 18th overall by Football Outsiders and 21st against the pass. Their defensive backs only came down with six interceptions, tied for the worst in the NFL.

Drafting Tre’Davious White is a clear fix to that issue in the secondary. Already a guy who glides down the football field, White brings decent tackling and coverage skills to shut down receivers. That gliding motion comes with solid footwork and fluid hips when adjusting to the play. A Second-Team All-SEC defensive back, White shutdown future NFL stars such as Laquon Treadwell and other prominent SEC weapons.
