Russell Wilson stepped up again and made some big time connections with Doug Baldwin late in the year. Defensively it was more of the same from the Legion of Boom, as Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor, and Earl Thomas each did their thing in the secondary to shut down opposing offenses.

Unfortunately, the Seahawks pocketbooks will be getting lighter this offseason The Seahawks face losing both of their starting defensive tackles to free agency this year. Brandon Mebane and Ahtyba Rubin will each be looking for new contracts after this year, but Seattle can not afford to pay both of them. The team also has to lock up offensive tackle Russell Okung and linebacker Bruce Irvin this offseason and there is just not enough money to go around.

With this pick they replace one of those defensive tackles with UCLA’s Kenny Clark. The junior lineman will be a massive impact on the Seahawks run defense with his low, driving body and excellent awareness. Also with an extremely high motor, Clark has put fear in PAC-12 quaterbacks and offensive lineman all season.
