Leonard Floyd. 27. player. 49.
The Green Bay Packers have quietly snuck back into the playoffs, but is that really a surprise to anyone? When you have the best quarterback in the game, making the playoffs should be an easier feat for your team than others. Despite losing Jordy Nelson early in the preseason to an ACL tear and Eddie Lacy not being himself this year, Aaron Rodgers found a way to keep the Packers on track. The offense is certainly not one fans need to worry about.

A consistent move I have been making these NFL mock drafts is giving the Green Bay Packers a true outside linebacker. Keeping Clay Matthews where he fits best is vital to the continued long-term success of the Green Bay Packers. Drafting an outside linebacker who can provide consistent pass rush off the edge and also be able to shut down the opposing offense’s run game would be a great move for the Packers.

Leonard Floyd out of Georgia provides both run support and the ability to get to the quarterback. One of the SEC’s best pass rushers, Floyd finished his three-year career with 17 sacks, five forced fumbles, and 26.5 tackles for loss. Not too shabby for a late first round pick.

Previous Pick: Scooby Wright III, OLB
. Outside Linebacker. Georgia
