Safety/Cornerback. Florida State. Jalen Ramsey. 3. player. 13.
The San Diego Chargers finished their disappointing 4-12 season with a loss to the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning on the road. In this forgettable season, the Chargers finished third to last in the league with only nine interceptions. They were also towards the bottom of the league in pass deflections and forced fumbles. The Chargers need someone in their defense who can take over games with a combination of coverage skills and aggressiveness. They get all that and more with Florida State defensive back Jalen Ramsey.

Ramsey is a fantastic defensive back coming out of Florida State. He brings back memories of Brian Dawkins in Philadelphia with his incredible football instincts, hard hits, and dynamic ball skills. While he started out his career as a safety, Ramsey made the transition to cornerback for the Seminoles last year with Ronald Darby and PJ Williams moving on to the NFL. To no surprise, he played just as well in one-on-one matchups with receivers. He shut down every player he went up against and changed the opposing teams game strategy at half time. Whether you want him as a hard-nose safety or a shut down corner back, Jalen Ramsey will bring it with every play.

Previous Pick: Joey Bosa, DE
