High Salary W

Patrick Kane-Chicago Blackhawks ($8,800): Kane is an absolute fantasy beast, and that’s all there is to it. He added another two assists Tuesday night and now leads the NHL in points (59) and assists (36). He’s riding a four-game point streak and has 13 points over the last nine games. Kane is averaging 5.3 fantasy points a game and is a huge asset on fantasy teams. Kane will go up against the Penguins once again tonight and should be used in your lineup.

Vladimir Tarasenko-St. Louis blues ($7,900): Tarasenko continues to be one of the best wingers in all of the NHL. He’s got 23 goals with 18 assists and has a two-game point streak going. He gets a great matchup with Colorado tonight, a team ranked 21st against right wingers. He’ll save you money over Kane and will provide a healthy average of 4.6 fantasy points a game.

Brendan Gallagher-Montreal Canadiens ($6,300): Gallagher had a great season going before missing 17 games due to broken fingers. Things times out perfectly for him though, as his return to action just happened to come at the Winter Classic on New Year’s Day. He wasted no time making his presence known and finished the game with a goal and an assist. He scored another goal Tuesday night and now has two goals and an assist in the two games since his return. Use Gallagher in your lineup tonight while his salary is still lower than it really should be.

High Value W

Jarome Iginla-Colorado Avalanche ($4,700): Iginla celebrated his 600th career goal on Monday night when he found the back of the net against the Los Angeles Kings. The veteran winger has been playing great this season and has points in five of his last seven games. Iginla still has a great value price and provides solid numbers from a fantasy aspect.

Kyle Palmieri-New Jersey Devils ($5,000): Palmieri has been on a tear lately for the Devils and has reached the 30-point mark for the season. He has goals in four of his last six games and points in six of the last 10 games. Palmieri has been a big reason for New Jersey’s surprising success this year. He’s a fine play right now for fantasy lineups.

Andrew Desjardins-Chicago Blackhawks ($2,900): Desjardins has been daily fantasy gold for owners who have taken a chance on him recently. He has just six total points on the year but has racked up five of them over the last four games. A two-goal game agasint Arizona on December 29 is what got him going on this streak. He was held pointless Tuesday at home versus Pittsburgh but was able to fire four shots on goal, a valuable stat in fantasy hockey. Take a chance with Desjardins and his super-low salary.
