FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-January 6
High Value PG
Goran Dragic-Miami Heat (5,800): Under 6K are a lot of injuries and question marks at the point guard position, but one option to consider is Goran Dragic who has been playing well for the Heat over his last nine games. In those contests, Dragic has at least 25 fantasy points six times and is averaging 14 points, 5.4 assists, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.2 steals. Dragic has scored in double-digits in each of his last four games and should be in a place to keep things rolling tonight in the early ESPN game against New York. In two meetings with the Knicks, Dragic is averaging 11 points, 6.5 boards, four assists, and two steals. ∗∗∗
Norris Cole-New Orleans Pelicans (4,400): Cole was a sleeper I liked headed into Saturday even before Tyreke Evans was a late scratch and Cole got the start. In Evans’s place, Cole was impressive scoring 16 points to go with 12 rebounds, four assists, and four steals on his way to 39.4 fantasy points. Cole had already been growing into a larger role and has played over 30 minutes in four of his last five games. He has at least 27 fantasy points in each of his last three, and regardless of his role (starting or coming off the bench) he should be a great play in a rematch against Dallas tonight. ∗∗∗∗∗
Patrick Mills-San Antonio Spurs (3,800): Mills got the start on Monday against the Bucks and played 28 minutes in place of the injured Tony Parker. He finished with a ho-hum ten points and five assists but only turned the ball over once and finished with 17.7 fantasy points. He has at least 14 fantasy points in five of his last six games regardless of his role, but he should get the starting not for the Spurs again tonight as they take on the Jazz in San Antonio. While Mills may not get quite the buzz he did before his last start since he didn’t set the world on fire, I still like him as a great cheap PG play today. ∗∗∗∗
