High Value SG

Victor Oladipo-Orlando Magic (5,700): This is the Oladipo fantasy owners have been missing! In a start on Monday, Oladipo contributed 35.9 fantasy points while playing 35 minutes finishing with 18 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals.  He also had a big game on New Years Day against the Wizards when he had 35.7 fantasy points on 20 points, five assists, four steals, and rebound.  The problem with Oladipo is clearly seen from the game in between those two contests though when he only managed nine fantasy points since he played just 14 minutes in coach Scott Skiles’ rotation.  Oladipo will be a great play tonight against the Pacers if he get minutes, but that’s a big risk unless he’s announced to be in the lineup due to injury or realignment.  If starting-∗∗. If unknown-

Rodney Hood-Utah Jazz (5,700): Hood has come up huge for the Jazz in their last two games with 32 points on Saturday and 23 points on Monday leading to three straight games with over 34 fantasy points.  Hood has picked up extra responsibility with Alec Burks sidelined, and he’s a good play tonight gains the Spurs as he tries to keep his shot hot. ∗∗∗

J.J. Redick-Los Angeles Clippers (5,000): Redick doesn’t do much but score from a fantasy perspective, but he has been doing enough of that lately to be worth a look in a good matchup tonight.  Redick has at least 25 points in three of his last five games and  takes on the Blazers tonight who have allowed the tenth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG.

Arron Afflalo-New York Knicks (4,600): Afflalo started the year in unceremonious fashion with 3.2 fantasy points against the Bulls on New Years Day.  Things have gotten much better for him in the two games since, as he ripped the Hawks for 44.4 fantasy points on Sunday and another 38.4 fantasy points last night. Afflalo has been a streaky producer in the past, so if you want to take a gamble he can keep things rolling tonight against Miami he’s a nice affordable option. He has at least 20 fantasy points in six of his last ten, but there are games where he produces very little making him a boom-or-bust play.

Jonathon Simmons-San Antonio Spurs (3,600): If you go with a extra-cheap option at SG, check out the Spurs’ Jonathan Simmons who scored a quick 18 points in 20 minutes on Monday.  He’s been getting pretty good minutes off the bench for San Antonio lately, and he’ll have an opportunity again tonight with Tony Parker sidelined as the Spurs host the Jazz.  He’s high-risk, but he has a very high ceiling as well.
