High Value SF

Evan Turner-Boston Celtics (5,700): With Avery Bradley out again tonight, look for Turner to get plenty of minutes against the Pistons.  Turner offers a wide variety of potential production and had a double-double in his start on Monday with 12 points and 11 reoubnds.  He has at least 26 fantasy points in three of his last four games, and since he’ll get plenty of time on the floor at SG tonight in place of Bradley, give him a look if you’re shopping under 6K. If he gets minutes, he’ll find a way to help your fantasy team.∗∗∗

Al-Farouq Aminu-Portland Trail Blazers (5,100): Aminu had a nice double-double against Memphis with 15 points and 14 boards to finish with 31.8 fantasy points. He had success against the Clippers earlier this season including a nice double-double, and he usually brings it against the team that originally drafted him coming out of Wake Forest. He has been a little boom-or-bust lately, but he’s got enough upside to consider in the late game.

Shabazz Muhammad-Minnesota Timberwolves (3,900): There aren’t a ton of options in the SF value pile, but Muhammad is worth a look since he’s been getting more playing time lately and producing solid numbers overall.  Muhammad has played over 20 minutes in head of his last three games and has over 20 fantasy points in each of those contests just like he has in each of the last five games in which he has gotten that much run from coach Sam Mitchell.  Mitchell has talked about giving Muhammad more chances, and he looks like he finally is doing that which should allow Muhammad to be a good value again tonight against Denver.

Wesley Johnson-Los Angeles Clippers (3,700): Another bargain bin option getting more playing time lately is Wes Johnson who is considered probable for tonight against the Blazers.  Johnson has played at least 20 minutes in four straight games and has at least 15 fantasy points in three of those four contests.  With Paul Pierce resting, Johnson had a really nice game with 12 points, four steals, two blocks, and a total of 26.9 fantasy points on Saturday against the Sixers.  As long as his foot injury doesn’t limit him, he’s another cheap option you could roll with at SF.
