High Salary LW

Max Pacioretty – Montreal Canadiens ($9,200): Pacioretty has been playing as well as anyone over his past four games. He has five points and a four game point streak. He has 32 points in 41 games this season. He’s a worthwhile start even though he just played last night and he’s going against the Devils. He averages 3.8 fantasy points per game.

Alexander Steen – St. Louis Blues ($8,100): Steen has eight points in his last ten games and 37 points in 42 games overall this season. He also has 31 shots on goal over his last ten games. His 124 shots overall this season put him in the top 20 in the NHL. He faces the Avalanche tonight and has 16 points in 28 career games against them. He averages 3.6 fantasy points per game.

James van Riemsdyk – Toronto Maple Leafs ($7,700): JVR has flourished under Mike Babcock so far this season. His two way play has improved dramatically and he has a plus-minus of +4 this season. He has five points in six career games against the Anaheim Ducks. He has at least one point in nine of his last ten games and has 12 points during that span. He has 28 points in 37 games this season. He averages 3.4 fantasy hockey points per game.

High Value LW

Artemi Panarin – Chicago Blackhawks ($6,100): Panarin had a huge game on Tuesday against the Penguins with two goals (including the game winner in overtime). He leads all rookie forwards in points with 36 in 41 games and has emerged as the Calder Trophy favorite. He has five points in his last four games.

Patrik Berglund – St. Louis Blues ($3,900): Berglund will be playing in just his third game of the season when he faces the Avalanche tonight. He has 16 points in 27 career games against them. He has five shots on goal in his first two games. He’s starting to get back into game shape and should start producing sooner rather than later.
