2. Philadelphia Eagles

Despite the fact that Chip Kelly tried his hardest to take a sledgehammer to the roster in Philadelphia, there are still some talented players on the roster, which will make the spot more desirable for the next coach that steps in to the tough confines of Philadelphia.

This is a team that had recently had a couple of 10-win seasons in consecutive years. In Philadelphia, losing isn’t tolerated and of all the head coach openings, they have one of the better shots at landing a big name to coach the Eagles. When Chip Kelly was fired, it was clear that he had rubbed his players the wrong way. The Eagles need a player’s coach that can maximize the talent around him and more importantly, won’t try to set fire to the roster every offseason.

The Eagles have some nice pieces along the offensive line and perhaps under a different system, the DeMarco Murray signing can go from a bad one to a good one, depending upon what they decide to do with him. In fact, of all the head coaching openings in the NFL, this is the most intriguing out there. With Kelly trying to change things up so drastically, it’s going to be interesting to see just what direction the Eagles go in with their new head coach.

The biggest obstacle is going to be cleaning up the mess that Kelly left.
