High Salary LW

James Van Riemsdyk – Toronto Maple Leafs ($7,600): JVR has been unbelievable over his last ten games. He has points in nine of his last ten games and currently has a seven game point streak. He has 40 shots on goal over his last ten games which is one of the best rates of his career. He’s an excellent option tonight even though he’s going against the Los Angeles Kings. He averages 3.5 fantasy points per game.

Alex Ovechkin – Washington Capitals ($9,700): Ovechkin has been kept off the scoresheet in each of his last two games. However, he goes against a team who he loves playing against tonight in the New York Islanders. He has 41 career points, including 26 goals, in 37 games against the Islanders. Jaroslav Halak will most likely be in net for the Islanders and making his first start after returning from an injury. The last thing a rusty goalie who hasn’t played in a while wants to see is an Alex Ovechkin shot. He averages five fantasy hockey points per game.

High Value LW

Dylan Larkin – Detroit Red Wings ($6,200): Larkin has been giving Artemi Panarin a good run for his money in the Calder Trophy race. He has five points and three goals in his last seven games. He has 30 shots on goal over his last ten games. He goes against the San Jose Sharks tonight. In a small sample size, he has thrived against the Pacific Division with seven points in nine games. He has 10 points in 16 road games this year. He averages 3.6 fantasy hockey points per game.

Jonathan Huberdeau – Florida Panthers ($6,200): Huberdeau was kept off the scoresheet in his previous two games until he had a two point performance against the Buffalo Sabres to help the Panthers win streak get to ten games. He has 28 shots on goal and eight points during his last nine games. He has five career points in 12 games against the Ottawa Senators. He’s gotten at least two fantasy points in eight of his last ten games. He averages 2.8 fantasy hockey points per game.

Dwight King – Los Angeles Kings ($3,400): King has been racking up fantasy points since his return from injury four games ago. He has two goals and an assist to go along with six shots on goal. He’s given the Kings third forward line some offense. He has averaged 3.5 fantasy points per game, though keep in mind that’s in a small sample size.
