4. Postseason experience

The last time the Packers missed the playoffs, President George W. Bush was still in the Oval Office. In fact, in Rodgers’ eight full seasons as starter, Green Bay has only sat out the postseason once — in A-Rod’s first year.

That’s a remarkable testament to both Rodgers and the Packers, who have been a model of consistency over the past decade. Green Bay is currently tied with New England for the longest active streak of consecutive postseason appearances, and it’s reasonable to think that as long as Rodgers is under center, that record could keep growing for years to come.

It’s just impossible to discount that kind of experience when it comes to the playoffs. Some players and teams look good during the regular season but fade when the pressure mounts under the bright lights of postseason football. The Packers are one club that has been here before – many, many times now – and with that experience comes a correlating confidence and savviness teams like the Vikings and the Redskins might not be able to match.
