1. Packers at Redskins

Yes, that’s right. The number one match to watch in the wildcard round of the playoffs this weekend involves Kirk Cousins at quarterback. More than that, however, it is the very presence of Kirk Cousins that makes this game the must watch of the weekend.

Cousins, quite frankly, has been one of the most exciting quarterbacks to watch down the stretch. He and his Washington Redksins won the woeful NFC East with relative ease in the end, and it was he and his offense that secured them the divisional title. DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon, complimented by tight end Jordan Reed who played on a Gronk-esque level in the final few weeks, are dangerous weapons in Washington, and Cousins has utilized them well.

The reason this game is so intriguing is the narrative of Cousins vs Rodgers. Perhaps the best quarterback of the past few years is playing worse than Kirk “You like that” Cousins. Rodgers’ receivers can’t get open, his offensive line can’t block anyone, and subsequently he is struggling greatly. This is the best game to watch this weekend, simply because we could see Kirk Cousins beat Aaron Rodgers. Now that is not a sentence I was expecting to write this year.
