FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-January 8
High Salary SF
Paul George-Indiana Pacers (8,800): George cooled off a little against the Magic on Wednesday with “just” 20 points, seven boards and three assists for a total of 31.9 fantasy points. He had been on a run of three straight games with over 30 points and over 45 fantasy points prior to that outing. Tonight as he and the Pacers head to the Big Easy to take on the Pelicans, I think he’ll be back to his elite level production. He is a pricey investment at 8,800, but the other big-ticket forward have bigger concerns facing them that make me think George is the best way to go from the group of five stars over 8K. ∗∗∗
Danilo Gallinari-Denver Nuggets (7,100): Gallinari has been playing well since returning from an ankle injury and has over 20 points and over 32 fantasy points in each of his three games back. He had 20 points, seven boards, and four assists against Minnesota on Wednesday as the Nuggets snapped a six-game losing skid. He’ll look to help them gather some momentum tonight as they face the Grizzlies for the first time this season. ∗∗∗
Khris Middleton-Milwaukee Bucks (6,900): Middleton wasn’t slowed by a matchup with Jimmy Butler on Tuesday scoring 26 points to go with seven assists, four rebounds and a steal for a total of 41.3 fantasy points. He has at least 40 fantasy points in three of his last five games and five of his last nine. He and the Bucks are facing the Mavs tonight who typically defend the perimeter well, but Middleton is on such a roll right now that he can be used in almost any matchup. He has scored at least 19 points in seven of his last nine and contributes solid assist and rebounding numbers as well. He’s still undervalued and underpriced tonight making him a great play to get in your lineup. ∗∗∗∗∗
Otto Porter Jr.-Washington Wizards (6,000): Porter has the potential to go off on any given night, and the Wizards will need him to contribute alongside John Wall if they hope to avenge their loss last week to Toronto. Porter had 20 points, nine boards, and two assists in that contest to finish with 31.8 fantasy points. He has at least 28 fantasy points in four of his last five games and is a very solid value option at only 6K for as long as Brad Beal is out making him the second option in the Wizards attack. ∗∗
