High Value SF

Chandler Parsons-Dallas Mavericks (5,400): Parsons is back to his full workload after minutes restrictions held him back early in the year.  He was the only Mavericks starter to play the second game of their back-t0-back earlier this week and he led the team to a win in New Orleans with 21 points, eight rebounds, and six assists for a total or 37.6 fantasy points. He won’t play quite the same role in the offense with the starters back, but he has at least 25 fantasy points in five of his last ten games, so he’s clearly starting to find his stride.  He’s also in a good matchup tonight against the Bucks who allow the fourth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SF.

T.J. Warren-Phoenix Suns (4,500): Warren had a horrible clunker on Sunday against the Lakers registering just a single fantasy point.  However, he has at least 27 fantasy points in four of his last six games and has scored 17 points or more in three of his last four.  Warren played 37 minutes against Charlotte in Phoenix’s win on Wednesday and had 17 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  While he does carry some risk, he should get expanded time due to the injury to Eric Bledsoe and new injuries to P.J. Tucker and Ronnie Price.  Warren isn’t a lock, but he has very solid upside at this reduced salary and in a good matchup against the Heat.

James Johnson-Toronto Raptors (3,500): If you’re looking for a cheap gamble at SF, James Johnson could be the best play as he and the Raptors visit DC.  No team in the NBA allows more fantasy points to opposing SF than the Wizards do, and Johnson looked good in his start on Wednesday managing eight points, five boards, and two blocks in 26 minutes against the Nets.  He is a high-risk play, but there is a lot to like about his matchup and his minutes while the Raptors figure out the best way to fill in for DeMarre Carroll going forward.
