NBA FanDuel Picks For January 8

We here at Fantasy CPR will work very hard and do everything that we can to bring you articles to prepare you and help you be successful with your bids and games at FanDuel and DraftKings just as we have with MLB and NBA. I always recommend that you do plenty of homework on your own as well as reading our articles. You will also want to make sure that you have access to your FanDuel lineup prior to kickoff in case a player is a last-minute inactive players.

Here are my FanDuel picks for January 8:

Next: Point Guards

Dec 8, 2015; Memphis, TN, USA; Memphis Grizzlies guard Mario Chalmers (6) drives in the first quarter against the Oklahoma City Thunder at FedExForum. Mandatory Credit: Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

Point Guards:

PG – Kyrie Irving – Irving has been on fire in his last few games. he seems to be recovering nicely and should make for a great play tonight at Minnesota. Irving is such a huge offensive threat and I expect him to continue to score points in buckets while his price at FanDuel rises and rises. I don’t expect him to be this cheap again this season barring an injury either.

PG – Mario Chalmers – With Mike Conley sitting out at shoot around and the fact that Chalmers went off with Conley sitting on the sixth against the Thunder for over 40 fantasy points I expect Chalmers to be a very nice play tonight. If Conley winds up playing however, you may want to make a few changes here.

Next: Shooting Guards

Jan 4, 2016; Auburn Hills, MI, USA; Orlando Magic guard Victor Oladipo (5) dribbles the ball against Detroit Pistons guard Reggie Jackson (1) during the first quarter at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Mandatory Credit: Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

Shooting Guards:

SG – Victor Oladipo – Oladipo has seen a nice resurgence as of late and looks like he may be sticking in the starting lineup as a PG. To add to his numbers he has also seen a nice increase in usage while Elfrid Payton continues to nurse an injury.

SG – Klay Thompson – Thompson has scored over 40 fantasy points in his last four games. Steph Curry has been injured and missed some of that time. Curry has been active over a few of those games and is considered probable to play tonight, but I do not think that will keep Thompson from scoring a large amount of points tonight.

Next: Small Forwards

Dec 12, 2015; Dallas, TX, USA; Washington Wizards forward Otto Porter Jr. (22) celebrates the win over the Dallas Mavericks at the American Airlines Center. Porter led his team with 28 points. The Wizards defeat the Mavericks 114-111. Mandatory Credit: Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Small Forwards:

SF – Otto Porter – Porter is kind of gut feeling call for tonight, although he has been playing pretty well over the past few games. He seems to play well at home and he just had a 30 point fantasy game against the Raptors on 12-30.

SF – Khris Middleton – Middleton is riding one nice hot streak with three of his last five games seeing him over 40 fantasy points a game. His minutes are up and so is his production. I am riding him while he is hot.

Next: Power Forwards and Center

Power Forwards:

PF – Draymond Green – Green has easily been the hottest fantasy basketball player on the court over the last week or two. He is averaging within a few assists of a triple double and really has no reason to slow down. At this price I consider him a bargain even though it is nearly ten grand.

PF – Mirza Teletovic – Teletovic has been impressive in Phoenix while Markieff Morris has been suspended by the team. I believe he has earned some extra minutes and will likely be rewarded with them. At this price it is hard not to gamble on the likelihood of that happening.

Center:

C – Jonas Valanciunas – Valanciunas is back and playing very focused basketball right now. His minutes are up and he is coming off of his season high scoring night with 22 points. He had over 35 fantasy points in his last game and should be locking down the lion’s share of the minutes at center with performances like this.
