Russell Westbrook gets rejected by the rim on the open dunk attempt (Video)

You might think that everything goes the way of Russell Westbrook … but it doesn’t. 

Russell Westbrook is one of the best players in the NBA, this is the obvious statement here. With the things that we have seen this man do on the court, it’s almost as if he can do no wrong … like he’s invincible or something. There is no such thing as a perfect basketball player, but Russ does his best of making you think he can come close.

Yeah, well, something perfect happened to Westbrook on Friday night against the Lakers. He was the victim of the perfect rejection — by the rim.

In the second quarter in Los Angeles on Friday, Westbrook was open for the dunk and he literally had no one around him. He was ready to throw down maybe the most vicious dunk that we would see all weekend.

Well the only thing that was vicious about this play was the way he was rejected by the iron.

Oh man, that’s harsh and not at all anything you would expect to see from one of the top players in the game.

But, sometimes things just don’t go your way and this is what happened here for Westbrook.

Maybe he should ditch the Slayer shirt.
