DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy hockey lineup- January 9
High Salary G
Braden Holtby-Washington Capitals ($8,500): Holtby is by far the best goalie in the NHL with 26 wins and is a huge reason for the fact that Washington sits atop the Eastern Conference. He hasn’t lost a game in regulation in nearly two months and needs to be considered a top fantasy goalie. The Rangers have been a problem for Holtby throughout his career, especially at Madison Square Garden, but he picked up a win there on December 20. If you are looking to spend big at goalie today take Holtby and enjoy.
Jonathan Quick-LA Kings ($8,300): If not for Braden Holtby, Quick would be looked at as the best goalie in the league this season. Quick has played fantastic and has 23 wins with an impressive 2.10 GAA. He’s won his last six starts and will look to make it seven against St. Louis tonight. The Blues, despite having a talented roster, have struggled to score this year and rank 22 in goals per game.
High Value G
Louis Domingue-Arizona Coyotes ($6,400): The Arizona Coyotes have posted a 6-2-2 record over their last 10 games and are surprisingly one of the highest-scoring teams in the league with an average of 2.8 goals per game. Domingue has done very well since taking over for the injured Mike Smith and has a record of 5-2-2 with a GAA of 2.30. He’s won his last two starts and three of his last four. A great matchup with Nashville awaits him tonight, making Domingue a top value pick at goalie.
Mike Condon-Montreal Canadiens ($7,400): Condon has righted the ship lately with wins in his last three starts. He has improved his record to 12-9-3 for the year and Montreal has started to play better with him in the net. Condon gets a very favorable matchup with Pittsburgh tonight, as the Penguins rank 26th in the NHL with an average of 2.3 goals a game. Many owners will still likely shy away from Condon, but he makes for a fine play tonight.
